It would be nice to have visual cues in the media tree that an item/folder is protected in Umbraco 7. Also, if possible, visual cues when using the list view of items (which is the default behavior now in version 7). Not sure how much trouble that would be, but certainly would be helpful. Thanks!

Totally agree with you. But it requires a change in the core. If you check the document list you will see the same behavior.
