Validation doesn't work in multilingual setup (SEOChecker 2.9.0)
I'm using SEOChecker 2.9.0 on Umbraco 8.2.0. It looks like SEOChecker doesn't take the culture into account when validating a page. This causes a variety of issues:
When validating a page with multiple language variants SEOChecker has trouble fetching the focus keyword. It shows an error for each culture even though the focus keyword has been set (see screenshot).
If the SEO description is set for one language variant but not for another, SEOChecker shows an error (see screenshot).
SEOChecker does not show any positive validation results at all (green boxes).
When executing a manual validation through the 'Validate pages' feature in the dashboard you can only set a start location, but not a culture. The validation issues per page are grouped into a single result and not separated per language variant. So if /nl/example/ validates correctly and /en/example/ has validation errors, the 'Validation issues' screen shows /nl/example/ as having validation issues (probably because it's the default language), not /en/example/.
Have you made any progress on this? At this point I can basically only use SEOChecker to set a SEO title, SEO description and meta robot tags on a multilingual site in Umbraco 8 using language variants. None of the validation features work. And since the validation features can't be switched off the bogus validation results are even rather confusing for the editors.

Hi Arjan,
Good find. Not sure if I can get to the culture when validating the page. Will check that and come back to this.
Best,
Richard

Hi Arjan,
Unfortunately not. But will add it to 2.10.
Best,
Richard
Any news on this?
I am also interested in an update about this fix, since 2 of my projects currently in development are multi-lingual.
All the best, Mikael
Arjan, Mikael,
Was planned for last month but due to Covid and therefore working from home, teaching kids etc got delayed. Hope to have this done soon.
Sorry for the delay.
Best,
Richard
