    Validating issues

    Hi,

our Umbraco sites are slowing down during editing because of a SEO Checker issue. Every time an editor is trying to edit a page the SEO part of this page is trying to do a quick validate which takes a long time to perform. We are wondering if there is a way to configure the SEO checker to bypass this quick validating of a page?

    thanks, steven

    Hi Steven,

Normally this should not happen since checking is handled in the background, we have seen some issues that the site was very slow because of checking the page and all dynamic parts were rendered. It's added to the list to disable checking but at the moment there is no config option.

    Best,

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

thanks for the reply. Do you mean that a 'disable checking' method is a work in progress for a future update of the Seo Checker? We host a couple of sites in Umbraco on a internal server which has no normal connection to the outside world because of security reasons. Could this be the reason of the validation issue? Does the SEO checker wants to talk to an external source during validation of a page?

    regards, steven

    Hi Steven,

Yes SEO Checker always checks external sources and yes it is work in progress. Hope to have an update within a few weeks.

    Best,

    Richard
