    Url Rewrite confliction

It's not often I have the need to do much url rewriting so I don't have an in-depth knowledge of the subject but it's been useful in my latest project for masking the use of an alternative template.

I raised this issue when it stopped behaving as I expected and discovered that the caused was the Url Rewrite functionality in SEO Checker.

In brief the problem was that the pages were being rewritten/loaded correctly but the Url in the address bar was not being masked as it should.

If I turned off SEO Checker's Url Rewriting and cleared my browser cache address would be masked properly again.

I've been left a bit confused as to how it was all kind of half working but I guess what I really need to know is how I can have my own rewrite rule working along side with the SEO Checker's or must I trun off SEO Checker's?

    Regards,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

There was a small conflict with "normal" url rewriting and SEO Checker that is fixed in this patch release. Could you try if it solves your problem also?

    Hi Richard,

    I was on 1.6.x before.
Having upgraded and re-enabled the Url Rewriting option it appears to be working as expected so thanks for that.

    Regards,

    Matt
