    Assuming no IP restrictions on the clients hosting environment firewall : does this proposed PayPal IPN update have any implications for the current PayPal implementation.

    PayPal is expanding the Instant Payments Notification (IPN) infrastructure used to notify sellers about events related to the status of PayPal transactions. This change will add two additional IP addresses from which IPNs will be sent. Below are all of the IP addresses that will be used for IPN.

    66.211.170.66

    173.0.81.1

    173.0.81.0/24

    173.0.81.33

    173.0.81.65 (New)

    173.0.81.140 (New)

    Hi Paul,

    From the sounds of it yes, I think you should only need to take action if your site is behind a firewall and you restrict incoming requests to specific IP addresses. If that is the case, then you'll need to add those new IPs, but if you have unrestricted IP access, it sounds like things should work as normal without needing any changes.
