    Multi Store Support?

Does Tea Commerce have the ability to run multiple stores off one install? Sharing categories and products etc..  Like Magento and uCommerce does.

    Hi Lee,

As of now Tea Commerce does not support multiple shops. You would be able to do it in some setups anyways though.

We do only support one shop language. One shop language meaning you cannot translate the different settings. This means that it would be difficult to run two shops on different languages. Eg. a shipping method can be called "Pick up" but the name will be the same on all languages. Then you would have to make a second shipping method with a diferent name and use that on your shop. So you could still work around it.

Another "issue" would be the order pool and confirmation e-mail which will be shared amongst all shops. The confirmation e-mail is made entirely by yourself in xslt. so you would still be able to do some customizations to it depending on your orders information.

Products will be no problem as you create them in the content tree as you would normally create your page nodes.

Any update on this?   I would love to try this out on a multi site environment.

    Thanks

I'm also interested in using a single Tea Commerce install for multple sites.

Lets say that there is dance organisation called 'Mega Dance'.
This dance organisation has many independently run dance clubs across the country sort of like a franchise.
There's a guy in London who runs a club called 'Mike's Mega Dance' and there's a woman in Glasgow who's club is called 'Fiona's Mega Dance'.

I'd like a single installation of Umbraco that would contain the websites for the organisation 'Mega Dance' as well as the individual club websites for 'Mike's Mega Dance' and 'Fiona's Mega Dance'.

The main advantage of this is that is will provide a central membership system for the organisation and individual clubs.

It would be possible to set up different shops for each site but Tea Commerce has not been designed for this and problems would arise with different payment methods and confirmation emails per site for example.

Could Tea Commerce be bent to work in this way?

    Cheers, Matt
