No, you can not use external products with Tea Commerce. You can use http://our.umbraco.org/projects/developer-tools/cmsimport to import your products into the Umbraco node system. We are looking into cms import ourselves and the developer behind it, says it would be quite easy to do it.
Only really custom thing that would have to be imported would be the stock of the product. Otherwise everything else is standard Umbraco.

This package looks great, one question.
We have products in a separate databse and are handled outside umbarco, is it possible to use Tea Commerce for this?
If not, is this something that will come in future?
