I tried to use PayPal payment provider in my webshop on my PayPal test accounts (seller and buyer accounts), and found out that I should manually capture funds from buyer account to change order status in TeaCommerce from Cart to Order. But I suppose that should be done automatically, isn't it?
Could you please advice me what can be wrong? Might be I should set up merchant test account options somehow? You the only persons who can save my life! :)
Try go to the Tea Commerce section of your website and into the paypal payment method. Set the paymentaction to sale instead of authorization. This should do the trick and paypal will auto capture your transactions.
Thank you very much! You save my life! :) It works!
(Btw, the Payment Review option should be disabled on PayPal test
accounts also to make PayPal payments work as expected - might be
someone will require that information...).
But I found another
thing - when you did payment in one currency (for example, USD), and
merchant accept another currency only (EUR), so after PayPal converts
buyer currency to seller currency, you will get the following order in
TeaCommerce:
So, as you can see, you as a seller got nothing according to the order. :) But in PayPal all OK...
I've just checked how it works with the same currencies (EUR) - unfortunately, I got the same result: negative balance in the order. :(
If you need more details to separate the issue, please tell me and I will try to provide those data for you. I'd like to help make that product better. :)
Could you try and change paymentaction back to authorization. Just to check if its only a problem when doing auto capture. Thanks for your help solving the issue
With "authorization" as option pf paymentaction and manual capturing the funds order looks as expected - no negative balance. So it might be a problem with auto capture.

Hi Alexey - I will try and save your life then :)

Did you install the latest version of Tea Commerce? As we have had a similar error like that?
If you make a payment in the merchant accepted currency it all works fine? Only when paypal convert?
Your welcome :)
Yes, I have latest TeaCommerce - 1.1.1.0...
I've just checked how it works with the same currencies (EUR) - unfortunately, I got the same result: negative balance in the order. :(

Hi Anders,
With "authorization" as option pf paymentaction and manual capturing the funds order looks as expected - no negative balance. So it might be a problem with auto capture.
Okay - i will look into it
I have now tested this issue and a fix will be out in the next release.
