We are evaluating your System and are really impressed.
Unfortunately we have a rather ugly problem:
ifwe want to set a product price with decimals by using '.' as shown in the starter kit (where it won't work either), the minicart and the whole order are ignoring this.
So if we try to set a product price of 19.99, as soon as we add this to our cart the price goes up to 1999. In the product view the price is correct.
Could you try for a quick test to insert a , instead of the . for decimal seperation?
What culture is your server running? What culture has the user you have logged into umbraco? English? What culture did you assign to the domain when you assigned for you website?
And at last what culture name does the currency have in the Tea Commerce section?
Thanks for the info! We will try and reproduce the error and of course fix it. Im going to the Umbraco BE festival the next couple of days and my Colleage Rune is on vacation. Is it soon enough that we look at it on Monday?
Is everything else working for you and do you like what you see?
Well, i'd say everything works pretts well so far, it was a little bit nasty getting rid of all the other currencies and countries which have been implemented in the starterkit, but now it looks very solid and stable. I really like the nice product managment!
Thank you very much for having a look into this nasty error!
I have a fix ready for this. Would you like to test it? I will make you a beta build of the next release. If you do throw me an e-mail at [email protected].

It works fine if we don't set decimals.
We are working with MSSQL and Umbraco 4.7.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your kind words!

Well, changing the the seperation to ',' makes umbraco not really happy, it won't parse xslts like product.xslt and productListing any more.
Server is running in German, de-AT, the Users culture is also set to Germany, but i also tried chaning it to UK, which had no effect at all.
What the domains assigned to i really don't know. Usually I'm just a webdesigner, but due to some changes within our Company I have to evaluate this.
The culture of our Currency is named de-DE, but we had the same errors with USD, and DK.

Yes, monday would be great!

Hi Gernot,
I have a fix ready for this. Would you like to test it? I will make you a beta build of the next release. If you do throw me an e-mail at [email protected].

Worked like a charm, thank you very much!
You're welcome. The fix will be out to the public in the next release.
You can now use whatever decimal separator you like, even different ones on each product.
