Do I need to keep the en root node

    Hello,

I am experiementing with TeaCommerce and generally I think it's good. The Demo didn't work as expected but the Starter Kit does.

I was wondering if I could remove the en root node as this is making the url overtly long.

Or does it do something special?

    Hi Streety

Thanks for trying out Tea Commerce. We autually found a bug in the demo webshop today so we uploaded a new one. Maybe you got the one with the bugs :)

You can remove the en node. We only have it for our best practice in our own company so feel free to change anything. You would have to move the host name to a different node as i think its that en node that currently handle that.

    Kind regards
    Anders

    Hi Streety,

If you do not want to have the /en/ part of the url, you can easily accomplish this with our Starter Kit setup.

    Just do the following:

    1. In the /config/umbracoSettings.config - set the "useDomainPrefixes" to true
    2. The "en" node should allready have your domain on it, If not set it on that.
After that the umbraco url engine ignores the /en/ part of the url.

    Hi Streety

If you find one of the replies helpful - could you mark it as the solution to help others to quicly find the right solution?

    Thanks Rune.

That worked great. I'am going to continue testing.

    Thanks again.

PS. Would you guys consider offering developer licenses. IE a licence to a developer not a end user?

    Thats great Streety.

We are not considering developer licenses at the moment. We will of course consider it if a lot of people are requesting it.

If you know you can sell a lot of Tea Commerce webshops we will be able to give you a discount though. For more information about that you can write us on [email protected].

    /Rune
