Tea Commerce Demo not working properly

    Hello,

The demo doesn't seem to work for me. I don't get the products listed or any pages.

Will upload a screen shot so that you can see.

    Regards

    Hi Streety,

It's hard to see from your screenshot, but the only product page working in the demo is: /en/speakers.aspx

That page hold all the avaiable products.

Then it's weird. Does the top product work? Can you put it in the cart?

Could you try and debug the xslt template for the productlist. See if somethings making it not working?

    Hello,

The top product in speakers is working (ie in the main header) and the add to cart functionality too. But the display of products does not work at all.

Any thing you want me to try?

    Regards

    Hi Steety,

Sorry about that. I found a bug in the demo website package, making it fail the installation on Tea Commerce 1.4+.

Try and download the new demo packages and install it again. I just installed it succesfully and the productlist works like it should.

The problem is the package does not uninstall. If I re apply the package I get a separate instance

Yes, you will have to install a clean umbraco again.

We can't make a good uninstall for the Kit's as they change stuff all around Umbraco and Tea Commerce.

    Hope you find a solution.

No I havn't got it working Anders.

Its doesn't show the products (speakers) as before. This is the third time I have reset the dbase installed Umbraco then your software. Same issues.

I have just released a new version of Tea Commerce AND a new version of all 3 Kit including the Demo Webshop. All have been tested and worked fine here, so you might want to try with the new packages.

Still think it's pretty weird though. Does the Starter Kit or the Multilanguage Kit work for you?

It could be. Check the domain on the "en" node and see what language it runs. The package is hardcoded to use the language with ID 1, so there might be something there.

The domain node is empty and the language says choose?

    Theres the problem then :)

Then add your domain and language to the "en" node and you should be good to go.

No. I tried this long ago... it says that my domain has already been assigned.

It only has English (United States) in the Drop down by the way?

I have change the demo package now, so that it will select the first available language, instead of a hardcoded one.

    Try it out:

Is anyone else having this problem?

Rune, Have you tested your software on a vanilla Umbraco instance?

I have applied the latest version of the Demo and its still not showing the products in the speakers section. That the fourth time I have rebuilt this umbraco instance. I am pretty sure its not your latest patch.

Excuse me but is there a tool to show the results of a XSLT query without going through all the rigmaroll of creating nodes, macros et al? The equiv of Linqpad.

I keep getting emails reminding me this is still marked as outstanding.

We it still doesn't work "out of the box" so I don't know what.

All I can do is tell it like it is.

Hey Streety I have installed this demo shop several times and never had a problem.

I have been messing about with it loads and only had trouble when I messed with something I shouldn't.

Also re uninstalling the package it won't uninstall unless you delete the pages types and content then it leaves a clean umbraco.

I can't see the screen shot so don't understand your trouble but we managed to build this...

http://www.floralhaven.co.uk by using the demo shop as a starting point.

Would still like to gain access to the administration of one of your solutions that does these weird things. I might be able to figure it out :)

To be honest Rune, I have given up with your Demo as the starter kit got me going.

    I'll mark it as fixed.

Ok. We will retire the demo very soon anyways. I'm working on a brand new design for the starter kit, that will render the Demo obsolete. Sometimes this month it will be out.
