I think it perhaps could be a feature in a future version of Tea Commerce to hightlight new orders, which hasn't been visited.. or a class added to the table row, so it's possible to style it.
That's a good Idea. Most of our own users use the order status to keep track of their orders though. They set the Order status to something else than "New", and then they are sorted into the different categories.
