    Feature Request - Order editing

Something that I think might be useful as part of the Tea Commerce UI is the ability to edit orders.

In particular I'm thinking about the changing of custom order & orderline properties.

    Regards,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Actually it's already possible to edit the order properties with the admin javascript methods. This applies to finalized orders as well.

Also you can change all other things on the order, with the javascript API, when the order have not been finalized. This can be done in the Tea Commerce UI as well. It's ofcause not standard issue, so you would have to do it yourself.

After being finalized the order is locked down and can, from then on, only be edited using the Tea Commerce .NET API. That is for security reasons.

    /Rune

Ah OK. Nice to know those javascript methods are there.

I was thinking that perhaps something generic could be added out of the box. That way we wouldn't have to figure out how to do it. ;)

    Cheers,

    Matt

Yeah. I know. Why do it yourself if you could lure us into doing it :)

Maybe give it a tweet and see if someone else have done it. I know there's people out there making some pretty crazy stuff with Tea Commerce.

You're right. It was a badly laid trap. :)

Although I kind of think it might be useful to more than just a few people.
Well who knows, if it was more people would probably be asking.

    Cheers Rune.

Jokes asside. We can probably do it faster than anyone, so just throw us a mail on info [at] teacommerce.dk

I think you're right and will remember that when someone asks for it. :)

    @Rune,

i am also finding that this would be very helpful to a project i am working on... My client wants to be able to edit the order in the dashboard to add final shipping and or custom alteration charges to an order.

    so +1 for Matt's request ;)

    Hi Bob,

We have noted your request in our wanted features doc. Many of those will be implemented in Tea Commerce 5, which we are currently prototyping.

As I mentioned to Matt, you can always give us a call or send an e-mail and let us make you an offer. We do not have the resources to do it for free at the moment sadly.

So give us a smile instead of that sadface and sell it to a customer :)

    /Rune
