One of our clients is planning to process the credit card payment offline using their back-office card-swipe machine. How can we capture the online customer's credit card for the client to process offline at time of shipment?
You can add this as extra field like you would for Address or VAT number. However, there is great risk around security and you may also be breaking the terms & conditions of your credit card payment provider (regarding the secure storage of credit cards). If you are going to go down this route I would make sure your provider is aware of it to avoid potential legal issues.

Thanks Paul, totally agree and we're working on guiding them away from the idea of storing credit card numbers.
