    full razor implementation

Is there by any chance a full razor version of the starter kit/page templates? or is that something people have done for themselves (and would that be something people are interested in?)

    Hi Ravi,

We are currently working in Tea Commerce v2 which will focus on razor. We will build a new starter kit ground up using razor and Tea Commerce v2.

V2 will still support XSLT though, but the Starter Kit will focus entirely on razor.

As allways we will be using the starter kit for our own e-commerce solutions.

As to people being interrested we have had lots of great feedback at codegarden 12. Many people are starting to use razor instead of XSLT.

    /Rune

We are talking within 2-4 months, depending on how many changes we decide to push from the beginning. The plans are pretty extensive.

    Hi Rune

    Any update on this?

I just loaded tea_commerce_starter_kit_2.2.0.0 and can confirm that there are ZERO razor scripts in the package.

    Hi John,

Yep. There's news. You can download an alpha version of the starter kit for Tea Commerce 2 here:
    http://www.teacommerce.net/en/products/tea-commerce-starter-kit-for-tea-commerce-2.aspx

Tea Commerce 2 itself are also in Alpha stage right now and you can download it here:
    http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/tea-commerce

We are working our behinds of to get a new release ready for you guys. Awesomeness sometimes takes time. ;)

Thanks Rune. But I'm still slightly confused about the version numbers here...

    I'm using starter kit V2.2 already - with Tea-Commerce-1.4.4.2.

Just to clarify: Do I need to be using Tea-Commerce V3 ALPHA in order to use the load starter kit V3 - http://www.teacommerce.net/media/29868/tea_commerce_starter_kit_3.0.0.0-alpha.zip ....

...or will starter kit V3 run with V1.4.4.2?

    Thanks

The starter kit V3 alpha is for Tea Commerce 2 only. We had two starter kit versions to Tea Commerce 1 :)

Starter kit V3 alpha ships with Tea Commerce 2. So you'll only need to download that for starters.

Just know that Tea Commerce 2 is in alpha stage and lots of things have changed already. You will not be able to upgrade it to a later version. So don't use it in production yet. :)

    Thanks Rune. Clear now.

I'm evaluating (six) eShops for umbraco and due to present the top 3 to my management group tomorrow - so I'll stick with your XSLT version for now.

TeaShop is front runner due partly to your excellent and timely support.

Have you set a target date for V2 release?

    Regards

    Hi John,

No, I cannot give you an exact date yet, im sorry. I just know that we're pretty close, and that we're working hard to get it done. We need Tea Commerce 2 for a couple of our own e-commerce projects as well. So we really want a production version up and running. My hope is within a month! But we want it done right.
