We don't have a finished feature list of Tea Commerce 2.0. It will be a rewrite of the .NET API, a more simple JavaScript API, it will have a REST API, add the option for multiple stores within one install, support country regions (states etc.), a new improved Razor implementation and XSLT engine. This is all to give us the possibility of create an even better Tea Commerce with new features in the next versions. Here we think about a discount module, a statistics system. If you have idea - feel free to add them as a request.
About the release date - we aim of a Q4 2012 release. We don't have the exact release date yet.
Thanks Anders. So 2.0 may be similar functionality but with more optimised, streamlined APIs, then future versions will build more advanced functionality into the new framework.
Things I'd be interested in most are what you mention: discounts/special offers/promo codes and marketing functionality (stats etc).

Yes 2.0 is to make the start of a bright future for Tea Commerce. Then after 2.0 we will start looking at a marketing module for Tea Commerce
