    Installing Tea Commerce

    Hi Folks,

This is porobably a really (really) stupid question but I can't seem to get Tea Commerce to work.

I have an existing (Umbraco) site and I want to extend the functionality of it to include an e-commerce system, so my question/s are.

    a) Can I install the Tea Commerce package into an existing site and use it from there

and if the answer to a is yes then

    b) How's it done?!?! ;)

I've tried installing the package (not the starter kit which I've got working), which at the completion of the install instructs me to include some Javascripts links in my master template, create a 'Stores' node (I don't understand what this actually means if I'm being honest) and if I refresh my Umbraco Dashboard page then the Tea Commerce icon should be available in the dashboard but it never appears. I must be doing something really daft but I just don't what it is!!

    Any help would be marvellous!

    Thanks,

    Craig

    Hi Craig,

Sound like you have done a lot of things right. I think maybe your Umbraco user does not have permissions set for Tea Commerce. Go to Users a check the Tea Commerce section for the user you are logged in with.

Next thing is to include the javascript you mentioned, and then you're ready to go. The easiest way to get startet is probably to steal away from the starter kit. It's full of document types, macros and the settings you will need. You just pick the things you need for your own website.

The starterkit inkludes two javascript files which you might want to use. If you stick to the html, id's and classes it will start to work as soon as you get it on you website. If you change the html you might need to make some small adjustments to the javascripts as well.

    /Rune

    Hi Rune,

I shall give this a blast, I'm currently restricted to the amount of installs i have on the go at any one time but I'll get another database on the go and let you know how I get on.

    Thanks again,

    Craig

Turns out I hadn't given the admin user permission to use Tea Commerce! Doh!

But that brings me to ask another question (which I'll put in another thread)

    Thanks again,

    Craig
