Event booking

Just wondering if tc can be used for an event booking system.

I have events in a custom db, NOT umbraco. But I show an umbraco page eg.

/events?id=SomeEventID

What I need is :
- to select X number of tickets on this page
- shopping cart - allowing purchase of tickets of multiple events
- booking confirmation page
- payment
