Adding Tea Commerce to existing website

Hi guys, sorry if this question was answered before, I couldn't find an answer.

I have an Umbraco 6.2 installation and I want to add Tea Commerce to it. I successfully installed v2.3 plugin, but I can't install started kit. I found an installation guide here http://www.teacommerce.net/en/products/tea-commerce-starter-kit.aspx but it looks like it wants me to create new database for it and is not very clear at all.

What do I do to add it to existing site?

    Thank you,

    Zakhar.

    Hi

The starter kit is a complete standalone umbraco solution with tea commerce installed and umbraco configured. So in your case the best thing to do is to setup the starter kit in a blank site and then copy/paste the things you need.

    Kind regards
    Anders

    Hi Anders,

Thanks for answer, Is it possible to use Tea Commerce package without starter kit? I installed it and got a new empty section appeared. I can't do anything there. It didn't create any document types either.

Tea Commerce dont install doc types. You should have a new section where you can create stores and configure TC.

    Kind regards

I do have a new section but it's empty and I can't do anything there, see the screenshot:

Was it not installed correctly? I don't have a license yet, just trying it to see if it works for me for now.

    Thanks,

    Zakhar.

Chech the trees.config. Is there some TC trees registered? If you tried to install the starter kit as a package that might have crashed your install. So you should maybe start a new install and install TC again in that.

    Kind regards

    Hi Anders,

Sorry for posting in this old topic, something else came up and ecommerce was pushed back a bit.

I've managed to install TeaCommerce package properly, had to downgrade to Umbraco 6.1.6 for this as had other problems with v6.2.0.

I also installed starter kit as a separate website. It looks like I'll have to duplicate document types, templates, views, and content. I'm thinking whether I should do it manually or it is possible to automate is somehow? Can you advise what can work for me?

    Thank you,

    Zakhar.

    Hi Zakhar

You will have to manually copy the things you need. Either you use the starter kit as your starting point or you use a clean Umbraco install where you install Tea Commerce.

    Kind regards
    Anders
