PayPal returns to basket instead of confirmation page

We can't see any reason for it from the log files (there's nothing in the logs) but when set to "live", PayPal is returning to the cancel page (we've updated the various settings).

Can anyone point us in the right direction to diagnose the issue or how to get more information from the logs? We've checked the signature and various other signatures but can't spot the issue.

There's nothing custom at this point and we're running TC 2.0

Thanks Dennis but sadly I don't think so no as it works for the other payment providers -and also when in Sandbox mode :(

    Hi Tim

When do you get to the cancel url? After you finish the payment at PayPal or before going to PayPal?

    Kind regards
    Anders

    Hi Anders,

We get it when you return from PayPal -but only in "live" mode. The payment has gone through without an issue and the emails etc are all sent out as well.

Can you check what the accept url and cancel url if for the payment method that is generated by Tea Commerce that redirects to PayPal. See in your HTML when you have executed TC.GeneratePaymentForm in your Razor.

    Kind regards
    Anders

I assume this is what you mean:

If you go directly to: https://www.xxx.co.uk/base/TC/PaymentContinue/1/PayPal/b8ebe0e0-c917-4608-9f0b-808470636081.aspx it leaves you on the correct page and outputs this message:

EMPTY BASKET Your basket appears to empty, or your session has timed out. Please add some of our items to your basket

So I don't think it's redirecting to the basket but showing the content from that page?

I'm not sure how to tell, the DLLs are 2.0 if that helps?

Look in the "Installed packages" area in Umbraco

Good shout however interestingly this install doesn't have the Installed Packages node!

Sorry Anders the cancel url was a red herring, they are going to the confirmation page but IsFinalised is false. Is that right?

That might be true. Then the callback fails. So you would have to look in the Umbraco log files and search for "paypal" and see if you have any info.

Sadly there was nothing in the log4net files or umbracoLog table the last time we looked. Will keep an eye out

Yeah the callback write to the log when an error happens. So keep an eye out. Coming to the UK festival next week?
