Yes of course you can upgrade a website from Umbraco 6 to Umbraco 7.... depending on what data types you are using... Would it be possible to do the same thing with Tea?
Thought the problems was with the data types that save xml or something that v7 cant understand. But that is no problem?
We have a special version for Umbraco 6 and 7 so you can't just upgrade Tea Commerce. I think you can install the v7 on top og the v6 you already have installed and then some views might need to be updated, but think its a pretty simple task. The API, DB etc is the same for the v6 and v7 edition.
I have an Umbraco 6 website that I want to put Tea Commerce in.
I don't particularly need to upgrade the website to Umbraco 7 for any reason right now.
If I install Tea Commerce 3.1 for Umbraco 6 in the website now it seems like I will be creating myself a headache for later because I won't be able to Upgrade to Umbraco 7 in the future without breaking that version of Tea Commerce.
If I do upgrade to Umbraco 7 later and try to install Tea Commerce 3.2 for Umbraco 7 it sounds like it might not work so well either?
As Anders is writing the database and core of Tea Commerce is the same for Umb v6 and v7, so an upgrade should'nt be a huge problem. You would be able to upgrade Umbraco and then install Tea Commerce for Umbraco 7 and then it should just work.
Might want to remove the old Tea Commerce files before installing it again though.
The TC database table are versionen in the database, so TC should'nt mess with that at all.
Upgrade from V6+ to V7
Hi!
I'm working with a client that have TeaCommerce running on Umbraco V6. I'm thinking about an upgrade but I belive that Tea is the big challage.
Is this something that we can to "out of the box" or do I have to uninstall/reinstall the package?
Do you have any guidance on how do to the upgrade?

Hi Markus
Can you upgrade an Umbraco 6 to v7? Isnt you required to build it from scratch?
Kind regards
Anders

Is that right?

Never tried it ourselves though.
