I want to correct a tag - it is all in lower case and I want to change it to have capitals. Eg - personal use assets to Personal Use Assets. I've tried:
Adding the new tag - it doesn't work and defaults to the old one
Erasing the old tag and adding the new one so it is the only one on the page - it doesn't work and reverts to the old one
Putting 2 spaces at the end of the tag when I add it, hoping that it won't revert to the old one, but it does!
Are those when tagging content for categorization etc.?
Tags like those are best kept in either lower- or uppercase for ease of searching/filtering - but you can of course have them display any way you want on the actual website, by modifying the frontend "view" file (UserControl, Razor or XSLT macro).
I'm certain we can help you with the display issue, if this is the case.
Yes Chriztian - it is for when tagging content for categorization.
I'm just a beginner when it comes to this program - how do I get to the place where i'd modify the front end view? So far all the only place i've been working is the content section.
The package creates a separate tree and enables editing and deleting of tags - there is no "Add" functionality which is a deliberate choice on my part.
Correcting a tag
Hi,

Help please, its driving me a little crazy!
Thanks!
Hi Tracy and welcome to the forum.
What tag is it that you're trying to change? Is it in a XSLT file, a template or on a document type? And why is it important that it is in lowercase?
Please be a little bit more specific about what it is you're doing :)

hi Tracy
I have literally just finished developing a "Tag Manager" package - hot off the press, it is now available as per the link below.
http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/tag-manager
The package creates a separate tree and enables editing and deleting of tags - there is no "Add" functionality which is a deliberate choice on my part.
Cheers
