Does it work in Umbraco 6?

I am wondering if oEmbed is working in Umbraco 6?

    Best regards

    Hi Jacob

I don't know if the package works but if you want to allow editors to insert youtube video, vimeo videos etc. then you should just need to enable the embedded media option on the rich text editor datatype.

    Since 4.10 it's actually been working! :D

@Jan : Oh my.. I didnt know - Thanks for the info. I am migrating from 4.7 to 6.1 and is trying to get an overview of packages usage and core development - there is a lot to take in.

    Hi Jacob

Yeah there sure is and it's only fair that you don't know everything - the reason for the big smiley is because the embed function has been there but has not been working properly. But during the UK hackathon last year it got fixed for good, yay! :)

So try it out and see if it solves your need. If it does not feel free to check if the above package works (in a vanilla install of course) and report back in here.

    Happy umbracoing.

    Cheers,
    Jan

Old. but I'm dealing with a change to an old UMB6 site and I can't get oembed to work ..and the default media insert as mentioned above doesn't seem to work either .. I'm trying to get vimeo to play - maybe they have updated since these embed options were defined.
